My mom thinks that listening to music is a waste of time and i think its fun to listen to?

Every time i come home from school, i always go to my iTunes icon on my computer and start listening to music, and mom gives me a hard time saying that music is junk and that i should stop wasting my time listening to it and start finishing my homework faster right at the minute i get home from school. I like music but my mom is always getting mad at me because i am not doing my homework and i am just wasting my time. Is this true that music is a waste of time or is my mom wrong?

Wasting time is really underrated.

Everyone needs to unwind, relax, and mentally reload. It helps you get ready to go on to the next thing. Music is good for that.
