For school, we are doing this big review of every musical we have done for the last 50 years and we get to audition with actual numbers from each musical. I am a tenor who can hit some low notes. I need help finding songs that will work for me as a solo audition and also a duet with a soprano (who can’t hit every high note) . Any ideas are greatly desired.

How to get NOT the original broadway cast soundtrack?

I recently saw the musical Spring Awakening on Broadway – it was great, but I didn’t get the CD at the performance. Now the only version I see for sale is the original broadway cast. I don’t like some of the voices in the original cast as much as in the version I saw; is there any way to get the CD for the specific cast I saw? Would they be selling it in the theater? (A couple of the cast are pretty new; just started 4-6 weeks ago, and I don’t know if they even record a new CD for every cast?).

They usually don’t make albums with all the new casts, because they change so frequently. I’m pretty sure the only version available is the OBC.
