Music Dry Erase Board

Is all the transitioning to technological things good or bad?

By that, I mean things are becoming more modernized.
My school has switched white boards and dry erase for Promethean boards,
people use cell phones for pretty much EVERYTHING now,
and iPods are taking over. Now, I’m a CD person (yes, I know CDs are technology, too)
but it’s just, trusting computers with all my music doesn’t fly with me.
I don’t trust computers >.> (just in case it breaks or something)

I think the biggest example is the transition of music from analogue records (vinyl) to digital CD to the MP3. It is quite sad that music has become just a product, a commodity, something else to buy. There is very little emphasis these days on album art work and artistic credibility. It is all about shifting units.

The dependancy on cell phones to me is laughable. I saw an 8 year old with a phone the other day! Who do you know when you are 8 that you need to call other than your folks!!? I hate having a phone and I leave mine at home whenever I can! People are far to dependent on their phones…and all you assholes who talk or text while driving, you deserve every ticket you get!!

I like the iPod. I have a lot of music and being able to carry it all around in a small wee thing like that is great…but I always buy the CD. I hardly ever download anything.

We need to remember that WE created those gadgets and that human interaction is always going to be more important than texting, emails etc… Sadly it is being lost. I recently went out for dinner with some work colleagues and the younger ones sat on their lap tops or iphones for most of the meal. Very anti-social!
